The situation remains extremely tense in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, but the security forces have carried out the biggest and most decisive action against terrorists so far. The army and security agencies have jointly launched a massive operation, in which the terrorists have suffered heavy losses. The administration has made it clear that those who play with the security of the state will not be spared at any cost.
In the last 40 hours, security forces launched a massive operation, achieved great success by killing 145 terrorists.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has officially confirmed this during a press conference in Quetta. He informed that the security forces have taken forceful action and killed 145 terrorists in the last 40 hours. The operation was focused against those elements who were continuously challenging the peace and order of the state and targeting innocent civilians. The administration says that this has been the fastest and most effective joint operation so far to eliminate terrorists, in which attacks were carried out on precise targets on the basis of intelligence.
Government’s strict stance after the attack on Quetta railway station, high alert and tight security arrangements in the entire province.
It is noteworthy that recently there was a major suicide attack on Quetta Railway Station, in which many innocent people and soldiers lost their lives. Since this dastardly incident, the government and the army have adopted a policy of ‘zero tolerance’ against terrorists. After this retaliatory action, security arrangements have been tightened throughout Balochistan and high alert has been declared. Additional forces have been deployed in sensitive areas so that terrorists cannot target the general public in any kind of retaliation or panic.
Many big commanders were also included in the killed terrorists, the Chief Minister said – there will be no talks with those who challenge the writ of the state.
The most special thing about this operation was that among the 145 terrorists killed, many important commanders were also included, who played a key role in planning and executing the attacks. Chief Minister Bugti has bluntly said that there will be no talks or compromise with those who shed the blood of innocent civilians and security forces. The government has given the green signal to a massive military operation against terrorists under the National Action Plan (NAP), the impact of which is now visible on the ground. He made it clear that this operation will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
