Preparations for Ram Navami 2026 are going on in full swing at Mahavir Temple in Patna. This time on March 27, the day of Ram Navami, the doors of the temple will be opened for the devotees at 2 pm only. The administration and the temple trust have made special arrangements for crowd control and darshan. In view of the shortage of commercial gas cylinders in the city, a major change has also been made in the method of making Naivedyam Prasad.
What is the arrangement for darshan and prasad?
After the doors open at 2 pm, a 15-minute aarti will be performed. After this, the process of continuous darshan and offering of prasad to the devotees will begin, which will continue till the night aarti. Lord Ram’s birth anniversary will be celebrated at exactly 12 o’clock in the day, in which flowers will be showered and the traditional Mahavir flag of the temple will be changed.
Keeping in view the crowd, a target has been set to prepare 22,000 to 24,000 kg of naivedyam (laddu) prasad. 15 separate counters will be made outside the temple for distribution of Prasad. The price of Naivedyam has been kept at Rs 380 per kg for plastic box and Rs 360 for carton box.
How is the temple administration dealing with the gas shortage?
Due to shortage of commercial LPG cylinders in Patna, the temple administration has taken many important steps. Now alternative means are being used for making prasad and langar.
For making Naivedyam Prasad, use of induction cooktop and electric system has been started instead of gas. Traditional fuels like wood and coal are being used for cooking on a large scale. Till the gas supply becomes normal, ‘Daridra Narayan Bhoj’ has been reduced to once a day instead of twice.
New plan for security and crowd control
Patna DM Dr. Thyagarajan S.M. And SSP Karthikeya. Sharma has held a special meeting regarding security. Police and magistrates will be deployed in the temple and surrounding areas from March 26 itself. Along with the police, about 100 private security guards and hundreds of volunteers will also handle the arrangements.
There will be separate lines for men and women from Veer Kunwar Singh Park. For this, strong barricading of iron and bamboo is being done. 14-15 LED screens will be installed outside the temple so that people standing in the queue can watch the aarti and puja from outside. On the day of Ram Navami, more than 51 grand processions will be taken out from different areas of the city.
