PM Modi Sets Target Of West Bengal: PM Modi sets target of winning West Bengal assembly elections, instructed NDA MPs to mobilize, PM Modi has asked NDA MPs to work together to win the West Bengal assembly elections 2026

New Delhi. After the results of Bihar Assembly elections, PM Narendra Modi addressed the workers at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. At that time, PM Modi had asked BJP workers to mobilize to win the West Bengal Assembly elections. PM Modi, while addressing NDA MPs on Tuesday, has set the target of winning Bengal. In his address to the NDA MPs, PM Modi has instructed them to get involved in winning the West Bengal assembly elections after Bihar. According to the information, MPs from all NDA parties looked excited after PM Modi set the target of winning the Bengal elections.

Assembly elections are to be held in West Bengal next year. TMC has been in power in West Bengal for a long time. Mamata Banerjee is the CM of West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee became the CM of West Bengal for the first time on 20 May 2011. Since then his hold on the politics of the state has been strong. Despite all efforts, BJP has not been able to remove Mamata Banerjee’s TMC from power. BJP had won 77 seats in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections. If we look at the vote percentage figures, BJP voters have increased in West Bengal. In the year 2006, BJP had only 2 percent vote percentage in West Bengal. Whereas, in 2021 it increased to 38 percent.

West Bengal is one of those states in the country which BJP wants to win at any cost and form its government there. BJP may be encouraged by the fact that its vote percentage in West Bengal has increased by 36 percent in 15 years, but in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has also suffered a loss of 6 seats in West Bengal as compared to 2019. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 12 seats in West Bengal. Whereas, in 2019, BJP had got 18 Lok Sabha seats in Bengal. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee’s TMC had won 29 out of 42 seats in West Bengal. In such a situation, BJP will have to work very hard to break the fort of TMC in West Bengal.
