New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the International Arya Mahasammelan organized in Delhi today. During this, PM Modi told about the contribution of Arya Samaj in nation building and freedom struggle. Modi said, many revolutionaries like Lala Lajpat Rai, Ram Prasad Bismil took inspiration from Arya Samaj and dedicated their all in the fight for freedom. Unfortunately, due to political reasons, this role of Arya Samaj in the freedom struggle did not get the respect that Arya Samaj deserved.

The Prime Minister said, the occasion of 150 years of the establishment of Arya Samaj is not related to just one section of the society or sect, it is related to the Vedic identity of entire India. Arya Samaj has been an organization of strong patriots since its inception till today. Arya Samaj has been an organization that talks about Indianness boldly. Be it any anti-India thinking, people imposing foreign ideologies, divisive mentality, or attempts at cultural pollution, Arya Samaj has always challenged them. I am satisfied that today, when Arya Samaj and its establishment are completing 150 years, the society and the country are paying homage to the great thoughts of Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji in this grand form.

Modi said, Swami Dayanand ji was a great visionary. He knew that whether it is individual development or society building, women power plays a big role in its leadership. Therefore, she challenged the thinking that considered women limited to the doorstep of the house. Started a campaign to provide education to girls in Arya Samaj schools. The PM further said, many sages of Arya Samaj like Swami Shraddhanand, who gave a new direction to the flow of history through religious awakening, today the energy and blessings of all of them are included in the historical moment. I salute millions of such virtuous souls.
