Yatindra Siddaramaiah said that Satish Jarkiholi is a politician whose thinking is progressive and he can maintain the ideology of the party. He also has leadership ability, hence Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should guide him. Amidst the reports of rift between CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar for quite some time now, Siddaramaiah’s son has, in a way, given a message to DK Shivakumar and his supporters by giving this statement. Let us tell you that earlier some Congress leaders had claimed that there is going to be a change of leadership in Karnataka and DK Shivakumar will be made the CM in place of Siddaramaiah.
However, after this controversy, Siddaramaiah denied any such thing and said that I am the Chief Minister of the state and will remain there for the full five years. Although after this statement of Siddaramaiah, the speculations about change of leadership came to an end, but from time to time, statements continue to be made between Siddaramaiah supporters and Shivkumar group. At the same time, political experts believe that by giving this statement, Yatindra Siddaramaiah has told the Shivkumar group that even if Siddaramaiah is not the CM, power will remain with his camp.
