Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Thursday on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and said that his government would follow the path given to him for the creation of a developed India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reached Rajghat on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and paid tribute to him. After this, he also reached Vijay Ghat, the tomb of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and paid tribute to him on his birthday.

Earlier, the Prime Minister posted on the social media forum ‘X’ and said, “Gandhi Jayanti is a day to pay tribute to Bapu’s extraordinary life, whose ideals changed the direction of human history. He showed how courage and simplicity can become a means of great change. ”Modi said that Gandhi considered the power of service and compassion to be an essential means of empowering people.

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to the second Prime Minister of the country Lal Bahadur Shastri, whose birth anniversary is also on Thursday. He described Lal Bahadur Shastri as an extraordinary politician whose honesty, humility and determination strengthened India.

The Prime Minister said, “Lal Bahadur Shastri was a symbol of exemplary leadership, power and decisive action. His call for ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ raised a sense of patriotism among our people. He keeps inspiring us in an attempt to build a strong and self -sufficient India. ”

Modi has been putting great emphasis on Swadeshi. He said that buying products manufactured by Indians would be a true tribute to Gandhi and Shastri. He said that Swadeshi is the foundation of a self -sufficient and developed India.

Born in 1869 in Gujarat, Gandhi is considered the most influential Indian of his era as he shaped the country’s freedom movement through truth and non -violence and became his followers worldwide.

Shastri was born in Uttar Pradesh in 1904 and became the Prime Minister of the country after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru. When India fought a war with Pakistan during his short tenure as Prime Minister, his honesty and the leadership of the country granted him universal praise.
