New Delhi. The campaign for assembly elections in Bihar is now at its peak. NDA leaders are roaming around holding rallies. In the same sequence, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also addressed two election public meetings in Hayaghat and Barh assembly constituencies today. Rajnath Singh said, the issue in this election is very clear. It is for the people of Bihar to decide whether to make Bihar a developed state in the coming years or take it back to jungle raj. He said, politics should not be done only to form the government, politics should be done to build the country.

Countering Tejashwi Yadav’s statement, the Defense Minister said, the leader of opposition in Bihar says that the new law made by the Center by amending the Waqf Act will be thrown in the dustbin. In the name of Waqf law, opposition leaders in Bihar are misleading the public. It is clear that when a law is made by the Parliament of India, it cannot be overruled by any state government. Responding to the allegations being made by the opposition on the Election Commission regarding SIR, Rajnath Singh said, the Election Commission is an autonomous institution and is working impartially. The SIR process was started to conduct fair elections but Congress and RJD also accused the constitutional body like Election Commission. The Grand Alliance has come out to oppose the constitutional and democratic processes.

Rajnath Singh said that during the time of RJD, the situation was such that even people’s farms were grabbed by luring them with the lure of jobs and today the same people say that they will provide government jobs to every family. He said, corruption cannot be ended only by giving speeches but corruption can be ended only by bringing changes in the system and this step has been taken by the NDA government.
