Renault is going to launch its new 7-seater SUV in India soon. The name of this vehicle is Bigster in the global market, but in India it can be launched as Renault Boreal. Recently, on 12th and 13th March 2026, this vehicle was seen during testing on the roads of Tamil Nadu. Its starting price is expected to be around Rs 13 lakh and it can prove to be a great option for an ordinary family.

Platform: It has been developed on CMF-B platform (RGMP).
engine: It will have the option of 1.3 liter turbo petrol and 1.8 liter e-tech hybrid engine.
Security: Level 2 ADAS has been provided in the vehicle, which includes features like automatic braking and lane-keep assist.
Design and Space: Its length is 4.6 meters and it has Y-shaped LED headlamps. It also gives good space in the third row.
What will be the price and launch date?
This vehicle will fall in the segment above the 5-seater Duster and will be manufactured in India only.
price: Its estimated ex-showroom price can range between Rs 13.00 lakh to Rs 22.00 lakh.
Launch: It can be introduced in the global market on May 5, 2026. This vehicle may arrive in India in late 2026 or early 2027.
competition: In the Indian market, it will compete directly with Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar.
Renault’s new plan in India
Renault company is preparing to strengthen its hold in the SUV segment of India. The company is going to launch its new generation 5-seater Duster on March 17, 2026, after which the plans for the launch of this 7-seater Bigster will be ready. This vehicle will be manufactured in a plant in Tamil Nadu. This vehicle is also expected to get the option of AWD (4×4), due to which it will be able to perform well in off-roading also.
