Saudi Arabia Flight Alert: Riyadh Airport issues warning, know this important thing before leaving home

Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and other major airports have issued an important travel alert for passengers. In view of the current developments in the area, the airport administration has appealed to the people to check the flight status with their airlines before leaving home. In this advisory issued on Sunday, March 8, 2026, it has been said that do not increase the crowd at the airport without confirmation. Apart from Riyadh, Jeddah (JED) and Dammam (DMM) airports are also fully open now, but security and operations are being carefully managed there.

Flight status and cancellation information

Many flights to and from Saudi Arabia have been affected. Indian passengers especially need to pay attention as Air India Express has also stopped its services for a few days. The airport authority has clearly said that passengers should come to the terminal only when their flight is in ‘Operating’ status.

Refund and Rebooking Rules

For the convenience of passengers, airlines have relaxed the rules for ticket refund and date change. If your flight is cancelled, you do not need to worry. Saudia Airlines is giving passengers the option of free date change within 14 days of resumption of service.

On the other hand, Air India Express and KLM have provided full refund or rebooking facility without any charges for the affected passengers. Officials have advised passengers to get information only through the airport’s WhatsApp number or the airline’s official app. Also, keep all your travel documents and passport ready so that there is no hassle in case of any emergency.
