Special Debate On Vande Mataram At Lok Sabha This Week: There will be a 10-hour special discussion on Vande Mataram in Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participating.

New Delhi. The winter session of Parliament has started from today. To commemorate the completion of 150 years of India’s national song Vande Mataram, the Central Government will organize a special discussion on it in the House. 10 hours have been allotted for discussion on Vande Mataram in the Lok Sabha. The discussion on Vande Mataram may take place later this week on Thursday or Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the discussion on Vande Mataram. During the discussion in the House, the Central Government will highlight the historical and cultural importance of Vande Mataram in the country’s freedom struggle.

In the all-party meeting chaired by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, a proposal was brought to discuss Vande Mataram, which was accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. However, the opposition has no special interest in this. Let us tell you that on November 7, on the completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram song, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released a special commemorative coin and postage stamp in the program organized in Delhi. PM Modi had accused Congress of distorting Vande Mataram.

Modi had accused Congress

Modi had said that the Congress party under the chairmanship of Nehru had removed some important stanzas from the original ‘Vande Mataram’ song in 1937. Vande Mataram was broken, it was cut into pieces. This division of Vande Mataram had also sown the seeds of division of the country. It is important for today’s generation to know why this injustice happened because the same divisive thinking remains a challenge even today. Let us tell you that Vande Mataram, written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, was first published in the literary magazine Bangadarshan on November 7, 1875. Later, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee included it in his immortal novel ‘Anandamath’, published in 1882.
