Additionally, Saini said that GST on agricultural equipment including irrigation and plowing machinery and pesticides has been reduced from 12% to 5%. Naib Singh further said that, “We have reduced GST on necessary life saving medicines and life and health insurance.”
He explained in detail, “GST on life -saving drugs has been reduced from 12% to zero, while medical devices will now have a lower GST rate of 5%. In addition, GST on life and health insurance has been reduced from 18% to zero, which has ensured greater strength and access to important health services for people.”
