The plane touched the runway at Jaipur Airport and then flew into the sky, landing after circling in the air for 10 minutes.

There was a stir in the Air India flight coming from Mumbai to Jaipur on Thursday when the plane flew back into the air just after touching the runway during landing. The pilot landed the plane at around 1:10 pm, but took off again as soon as the wheels touched the ground. After this, the plane kept rotating in the sky of Jaipur for about 10 to 11 minutes and the breath of the passengers remained stuck.

Why did the pilot suddenly take such a decision?

Airport officials have informed that this decision was taken keeping security in mind. In aviation parlance this is called the ‘go-around’ process. When the pilot feels that the balance of the plane or the wind direction is not quite right for landing, they take the plane back up instead of taking the risk. According to the ATC officer of Jaipur Airport, this is a common procedure adopted for security across the world.

Such an incident happened for the second time in a month

The thing to note is that this is the second such incident at Jaipur Airport in the last few days. Earlier on January 28 also, a flight coming from Delhi had to cancel landing in a similar manner. In this incident that happened on Thursday, the plane landed safely at 1:21 pm in the second attempt. It is fortunate that no passenger was injured during this period and the plane is also completely safe.
