New Delhi. The ever-increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR is no longer limited to schools, colleges or traffic only – its impact is clearly visible on international trade fairs as well.
At present, the maximum crowd is gathering at the pavilion of the Ministry of AYUSH set up in the fair.
People come here not only to get information but also to buy medicines and herbal products for relief from cough, cold, throat irritation, breathing problems and decreasing immunity.
🩺 OPD of AYUSH doctors started – 60-70% patients affected by pollution
The Ministry of AYUSH has also started OPD of Unani, Homeopathic and Ayurvedic doctors in the fair.
Every day, doctors of different systems are examining the people coming here and providing free medicines and advice.
Unani expert Dr. Jamal, who came from Bangalore, said that 60–70% of the people coming to OPD came to seek treatment due to respiratory and throat problems related to pollution.
The remaining 30–40% people came to seek advice related to BP, sugar and other diseases.
Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Poonam Bhushan says that people are either worried due to pollution, or are coming with the demand for immunity enhancing medicines.

Stall operators say that Ayurveda had given relief during the Corona period, hence people are still relying on it and are taking a large number of treatments and medicines for relief from pollution.
👥 Huge crowd in the fair – people are getting relief
Maximum crowd is seen at the Ayush stall in Pragati Maidan.
Most of the visitors arrived with complaints of respiratory problems, sore throat, eye irritation and headache, and were immediately given medicines and expert advice.
People said that Ayurveda and Unani treatments are providing them quick relief from the problems they are facing due to pollution.
