After the blast near Red Fort metro station in Delhi, security agencies across the country have come on alert mode. Meanwhile, a threatening email has been received on the complaint portal of IndiGo airline, in which it has been said to blow up several airports.
Email talks about bomb at Delhi airport, rumor found after investigation
Delhi Police officials said that in the email received by IndiGo, it was claimed that there was a bomb at Delhi Airport.
As soon as the information was received, airport security agencies immediately started investigation and the entire area was scanned.
After investigation, police confirmed that the information in the email was false and a hoax, although no security risks were being taken.
Three big airports on alert – strict checking in Delhi, Chennai and Goa
After this threatening email, three major airports of the country –
Security has been tightened in Delhi, Chennai and Goa.
The screening process for all passengers and luggage scanning has been further tightened.

Additional teams of CISF and police have been deployed at Delhi Airport.
As a precautionary measure, bomb squad and dog squad have also been alerted in Chennai and Goa.
Intelligence Bureau (IB) and NIA teams are also trying to find out the source of sending the email.
Appeal from police and security agencies
Delhi Police has issued a statement saying that,
“The email has been found to be false, but all possible security measures are being taken.
“Citizens are appealed to immediately report any suspicious activity or information to the police.”
Link related to Red Fort blast also investigated
The team investigating the recent car blast near the Red Fort is also doing digital forensic investigation of this email to find out if there is any link between the two incidents.
NIA and Delhi Police’s Special Cell are now tracking the IP source, language and location of the emails.
