This villa was gifted to Shahrukh in 2007 by Dubai’s top real estate company Nakheel PJSC. Reason?
Shahrukh was becoming the global face of Dubai tourism at that time.
His popularity was sky high in the Arab world
SRK was considered to have a big role in making Dubai a global brand.
This was the reason that the official gift deed of this villa on K-Frond was given to him by Nakheel Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem himself.
🧾 The Government of India had also sent a notice on this gift!
When such a huge property was gifted, the IT department in India started a tax investigation, but later the court clearly said –
👉 “It is a personal gift, given as part of promotion and relations. There is no irregularity in it.”
After this decision the case was closed.
🏖️ Shahrukh’s second home even today – and the pride of Dubai
SRK has said in many interviews that Dubai is his second home.
Often when he takes a break with the family, he is seen in a vacation-mood in ‘Jannat’.
People of Palm Jumeirah jokingly say –
“Even the waves here know Shahrukh’s name.”
