UAE Flight Update: Special flights started from Dubai to India, overstay fine of stranded passengers waived

An important update has come for Indians living in Dubai and surrounding areas. After the disruption in air travel, some relief has started coming from March 5. Limited flight operations to India have been resumed from Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports. The government has decided to give major relaxation in the rules for those who were stranded at the airport or whose visa had expired.

These airlines started their service

Airlines have made special arrangements to reduce crowding at the airport and to send passengers home. If you are also waiting for tickets, then take a look at the list given below:

SpiceJet: Today it is running a total of 13 special flights. Of these, 12 flights are from Fujairah and 1 flight is from Dubai to Mumbai and Delhi.
Air India: To rescue the stranded people, it is using large Boeing 777 aircraft which are operating on the Mumbai-Dubai-Delhi route.
Air India Express: It has decided to continue its service from Ras Al Khaimah and Muscat to Delhi, Kochi and Mumbai till March 7.
Emirates and Etihad: Emirates Airlines has kept most of its regular flights closed till 7 March and Etihad till the morning of 6 March.

New rules and relaxation in fine for passengers

The UAE government has given great relief to those people who could not leave the country on time due to flight cancellations. Overstay Fine Has been completely forgiven. Apart from this, some new rules related to travel have also come into effect:

Airport Entry: You should go to the airport only when the airline has given you confirmed ticket and timing information over phone or email. Entry will not be allowed without confirmation.
Customs: The Government of India has increased the duty-free limit to Rs 75,000.
Gold and laptop: Now women can carry gold up to 40 grams and men up to 20 grams without paying duty. Also, there will be no charge for a personal laptop.

If you are not able to get a flight from Dubai, then you can go from Sharjah to Muscat by bus with the help of Oman Air or Salam Air and take a flight from there.
