New Delhi. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions to all the district magistrates to take prompt and strict action against illegal immigrants. Describing law and order, national security and social harmony as the top priority, the Chief Minister said that any kind of illegal activity will not be tolerated. District administrations have been instructed to identify illegal immigrants living in their respective areas and take action as per law. The Chief Minister has also directed to set up temporary detention centers in each district to keep the identified infiltrators.
Yogi said, foreign citizens found living illegally should be kept in these centers till the verification process is completed. He further said that illegal immigrants detained in these centers will be sent back to their countries of origin following established procedures. Let us tell you that the issue of infiltrators has been in the news across the country for some time. The central government is taking steps to send Rohingya Bangladeshi Muslims living illegally in India back to their country. For this, a campaign is also being run in all the states to identify illegal immigrants. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is also not in favor of giving shelter to infiltrators. In the elections from Bihar to Jharkhand, BJP had raised the issue of infiltration with full force.
A day earlier, the Union Home Minister had said in a function organized in Bhuj, Gujarat on the occasion of 61st Foundation Day of BSF, that we will selectively expel each and every infiltrator from this country, this is our pledge. Who should be the Chief Minister of any state of this country, who should be the Prime Minister of the country, that decision can be taken only by the citizens of India. No infiltrator has the right to influence our democratic decisions.
