new Delhi. Two new judges were on Monday sworn in as judges of the Delhi High Court, taking the number to 36 against the sanctioned strength of 60. Acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi in the presence of other High Court judges, lawyers and limited guests, Justice Poonam A. Bamba and Justice Swaran Kanta Sharma were administered the oath of office as Judges of the Delhi High Court.
The court administration said that in view of the prevailing situation, the swearing-in ceremony was held on a limited scale.
The two new judges are among the six who were recommended for promotion by the Supreme Court Collegium last month.
The other four judges Neena Bansal Krishna, Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Anoop Kumar Mendiratta and Sudhir Kumar Jain took oath on February 28.
