New Delhi. Indian selectors are keeping an eye on the Indian Premier League. The Indian team is to be selected for the T20 World Cup by the end of this month. Those who perform well in the tournament can get a chance to play in this mega ICC tournament. Former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad on Monday advocated the inclusion of Shivam Dubey and Rinku Singh in the playing eleven for the T20 World Cup to be held in June.
Dubey has been the best performer for Chennai Super Kings in this IPL season. He has scored runs at a strike-rate of more than 160. Dubey’s contribution could prove invaluable in spin-friendly conditions in the West Indies. Along with him, left-handed explosive batsman Rinku has made a strong claim to be included in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup to be held in America and Caribbean countries.

Prasad wrote on ‘X’, “Shivam Dubey for his ability to play big shots against spinners, Surya (Kumar Yadav) for being the best T20 international batsman and Rinku Singh for his exceptional finishing ability.” It would be great if India finds a way to include these three in the playing eleven in the T20 World Cup. Due to the presence of Virat (Kohli) and Rohit (Sharma) in the team, after these five there will be space left for only one wicketkeeper batsman. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.
