MG Motor India has launched its new MG ZS EV electric car this month. Now the company claims that this car is getting great response from the customers. According to MG, this electric car has got 1500 pre-bookings in less than 1 month.
Being an electric car, these figures can be called quite good. Let us tell you that in February 2022, only 38 units of the old ZS EV were sold. Interestingly, the new ZS EV coming in two variants is currently available for booking in only one variant (Exclusive), which is priced at Rs 25.88 lakh ex-showroom.

Bigger battery and better range
The bigger 50.3kWH battery has been given in the MG ZS EV. Earlier it used to get 44.7kWh battery unit. The new battery delivers 143bhp of power and 353Nm of torque. It claims to achieve 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. The new ZS Electric is claimed to offer a range of 461km on a single charge. The old model claimed to deliver 419km on a full charge.

69% growth in the first quarter
MG Motor India’s sales jumped 69% in the first quarter of 2022 as compared to the fourth quarter of 2021. The carmaker sold a total of 4721 vehicles in March 2022 and during this time it also faced supply challenges due to problems like new variants of COVID-19 and shortage of semiconductor chips globally. In March last year, the company had retailed 5,528 units.
