‘Pagal Ghoda’ is a popular Bengali poem from West Bengal, based on a wild and mad horse, which with its indomitable beauty is a symbol of power, uncontrollability, unpredictable and terrifying. The play focused on the male-female relationship and highlights the subordination of women in a patriarchal society. It describes the relationship between the four different socio-economic sectors of the society. The play ‘Pagla Ghoda’ was staged on Friday evening as part of the fortnightly theater series at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK). The play was directed by Sabir Khan and written by Badal Sarkar.
