There is a lot of discussion in the politics of Bihar about the relationship between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). There was a lot of speculation about his closeness with the RJD at the Iftar party. This has been further strengthened by his absence from a joint conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of High Courts in Delhi on Saturday.
Nitish Kumar’s decision added to the discussion of tension in his relations with ally BJP. Let us tell you that Chief Ministers like Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Chhattisgarh’s Bhupesh Baghel also attended this meeting.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by Chief Ministers of several states. Nitish Kumar visited Purnia to inaugurate an ethanol production plant instead of going to Delhi. He sent state law minister Pramod Kumar, who is from the BJP, to Delhi to attend the meeting.
NDA insiders said Nitish’s allies are angry with the BJP ever since its leaders have openly demanded a “BJP CM” in his place. Let us tell you that the saffron party is the biggest ally in Bihar. Such a demand was recently raised by senior BJP leaders like Sasaram MP Chhedi Paswan and Lauria MLA Vinay Bihari.
Vinay Bihari had openly demanded that instead of Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad (BJP) should be made the Chief Minister of Bihar. NDA sources said Nitish Kumar is more upset over the fact that none of the BJP national leaders have denied such statements.
