New Delhi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday unveiled the statue of Babu Rajeshwar Prasad Singh, popularly known as ‘Madan Mohan Malviya’ of Ghazipur, at PG College Gorabazar. During this, while addressing a public meeting, he said that ‘Babu Rajeshwar Singh had done the work of connecting this district with his past while respecting his heritage. India will become a developed nation only by respecting its ancestors and its heritage. CM Yogi said that ‘Our Sanatan Dharma teaches us that we should express our gratitude towards those who have done something for us.’ CM Yogi said that the past of Ghazipur district is glorious. It used to be the capital of Maharishi Vishwamitra’s father. The district, which makes the history of India, is the district that destroys the demons from India and Aryavarta. There was no invitation to Ayodhya in Sita Swayambar. Maharishi Vishwamitra became the medium for carrying Rama and Lakshmana. He combined the two forces of Aryavarta, because he knew that Aryavarta was in danger if the demons of Ravana had reached Buxar.’ He said that ‘The conch shell for the establishment of Ram Rajya was done by our revered sages and sages. To express respect for the heritage, Prime Minister Narendra Modi named the university after Maharishi Vishwamitra. At the same time, we have named the medical college in Azamgarh after Maharaj Suheldev, who fought against foreign forces a thousand years ago. Recalling Babu Rajeshwar Prasad Singh, CM Yogi said that it is a coincidence that this college of Ghazipur was earlier affiliated to Gorakhpur University and both the colleges of Gorakshapeeth were also associated with it. Because of this we had a close relationship with Babu Rajeshwar Prasad Singh. He said that ‘Babu Rajeshwar Prasad Singh used to establish whatever new was happening in the field of education in the country and the world by bringing it to the PG college here.
After that whenever he used to come to Gorakhpur, we used to tell people that by implementing it here, children will get benefit. He said that ‘at one time there was a crisis of identity in front of districts like Ghazipur and Azamgarh. Perverse forces had tarnished the identity here. Even in those difficult times, people like Rajeshwar ji in Ghazipur did social service and brought revolution in the field of education. CM Yogi said that ‘Prime Minister Modi has set some goals in front of everyone and inspired them to move forward. When we were saving lives and livelihoods during COVID, Prime Minister Modi implemented the National Education Policy and this earth can become the land of its innovative use. We have to reach young people capable of practical and technical knowledge in the country and the world. He said that fifty-six percent of our population is working. We have the best youth who makes the whole country proud with his talent and energy and for that youth we are working today. Our government has so far given tablets and smartphones to 15 lakh youth and we will give tablets to 20 million youth in the next five years.
