New Delhi: The troubles of Manish Sisodia, accused in the Delhi liquor policy scam case, are increasing. ED is giving many arguments against Manish Sisodia in the court. A bail plea has been filed on behalf of Manish Sisodia in Rouse Avenue Court, which was opposed by the ED saying that he has been involved in destroying evidence. Not only this, ED also told the court in its argument that a secret meeting was held in the Oberoi Hotel in the Delhi liquor scam case, in which all the co-accused in the case participated.
During the hearing on Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in Rouse Avenue Court, both ED and CBI presented their arguments on Tuesday. ED told the court that the only reason for withdrawing the liquor policy was the investigation. Liquor policy was an evergreen means of gaining illegal profits. ED said why was it deviated from the report of the expert committee? The committee said that the share of wholesale business should be given to the government, there is no discussion on why the wholesale business was given to private companies?
Meeting in Hotel Oberoi, phone calls and witnesses… As soon as ED’s arguments ended, why did CBI say – Manish Sisodia is the mastermind?
Mention of meeting and phone call in Oberoi Hotel
In its argument, ED also mentioned Oberoi Hotel, where a meeting regarding liquor policy was held. ED said, ‘There was a meeting with South Group at Oberoi Hotel and all the co-accused were present in this meeting. Some of them have become government witnesses. ED further said that Manish Sisodia was involved in destroying evidence. Manish Sisodia said that his phone was damaged but he could not tell where his previous phone was. The day the LG filed a complaint with the CBI in the Delhi liquor scam case, he changed his phone.
‘The seriousness of the crime is very serious’
The Enforcement Directorate also said that an officer working in the Excise Department has said in the statement that Manish Sisodia destroyed the old draft cabinet note so that no one could see it. The investigating agency also said that the seriousness of the crime in the Delhi liquor scam case is very serious. A public figure made a policy which was in favor of some wholesalers. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, both CBI and ED presented their side in the court. After hearing the arguments of both the investigating agencies, Rouse Avenue Court had said that the next hearing of this case will be on April 20.
