Mitchell Marsh has missed the last two matches for the Capitals due to a hamstring injury and assistant coach Praveen Amre has indicated that the all-rounder will be out of action for a week. Now according to a report by ESPNCricinfo, Marsh has returned to Australia for treatment on his right hamstring injury. Apart from this, it is believed that he may miss the entire season. Amre had opened up about Marsh’s injury after DC lost to Mumbai Indians in a high-scoring encounter at the Wankhede Stadium.
He said that the all-rounder has gone for a scan and the report will come in a week. After Delhi Capitals’ defeat against Mumbai Indians on April 7, Amre said that some of our players are injured and the area of concern is Mitchell Marsh. He has gone for scans and the physio will give us the report in a week. Then we will know what the true situation is. Whether he can play the entire season or not depends on the report.

Sourav Ganguly had also earlier confirmed that Marsh is injured. Delhi Capitals returned to winning ways in their sixth match by defeating Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Kuldeep Yadav bowled brilliantly as DC restricted LSG to 167. After this the Capitals gave their best performance with the bat and won the match with great ease.
