Delhi Police has made preparations to send those who pelted stones on the procession taken out on Hanuman Jayanti in Jahangirpuri area of the national capital last evening and then behind the bars of the violence. Delhi Police has formed 10 teams of Special Branch to investigate the disturbance and to nab the rioters. At the same time, massive police deployment has been done in riot-hit Jahangirpuri and other sensitive places. After yesterday’s violence, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal had summoned Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana and asked for strict action. According to the information so far, 7 people including 6 policemen have been injured in the violence. 10 people have been arrested in this case.
After this, the police commissioner had issued a statement saying that in any case, those who committed violence would not be spared. Asthana had also said that police will take strict action against anyone who breaks the law or spreads rumours. Let us inform that during yesterday’s violence in Jahangirpuri, along with religious slogans, youths of a community were seen with swords in their hands. After Karauli in Rajasthan and Khargone in Madhya Pradesh, the government’s ears have stood up due to the incident of violence and attack on the procession of Hindus in Delhi.
According to government sources, the pattern of all incidents of violence is being seen. It is learned that the incidents of violence against Hindus in Karauli, Khargone and Delhi were pre-planned. For this reason, the perpetrators of violence had kept stones etc. on the roof of their houses. Apart from stones, he had also collected items for making petrol bombs. The government is now looking at how to take strict action against the rioters, so that those who intend to do something like this in future are discouraged.
