According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, one above normal. It was sunny throughout the day and winds were recorded at moderate speed. The humidity level in the air ranged from 37 to 93 percent. The Meteorological Department has forecast that in the next 24 hours, there may be partly cloudy sky with light rain from the evening. The maximum temperature can be 26 and the minimum temperature can be up to 13 degree Celsius. For Saturday, the department has issued a yellow alert and has predicted rain with wind speed of 20 to 30 kmph.

Rain likely to improve air quality

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI of Delhi stood at 307. 308 in Faridabad, 326 in Ghaziabad, 244 in Greater Noida, 276 in Gurugram and 294 in Noida. According to the air standards body SAFAR, the air quality is not likely to improve much in the next 24 hours. In the event of rain, a slight improvement can be recorded.
