The encroachers on both sides of the highway have been given an ultimatum to voluntarily remove the encroachment by March 2. Action will be started from March 3. In future, the Indore-Ahmedabad National Highway will be six-lane instead of four-lane. The land which was acquired from the farmers has also been done under this project, but at present it remains only four lane.
three hours of action
Shops adjacent to the four lane near Mangod intersection were removed by joint action by HH officials and revenue staff. During the operation that lasted for about two to three hours, 20 shops were vandalized. While going from Mangod crossroads towards Dhar, the turn was encroached upon by the encroachers for a long time. Due to the hotels being near the four lanes, it was difficult for the passers-by to travel. The fear of accident was also there. After the encroachment action on Saturday, people are being praised. SDM BS Kalesh said that the bend in front of Mangod intersection was encroached upon by some people. As a result, action has been taken. NH Assistant Engineer DK Jain, SDOP RS Meda, Tehsildar Adarsh Sharma, Station House Officer KS Panwar, SDO Irrigation Ashok Garg etc. were present.
After the nap, there was a stir among the shopkeepers

Encroachment will be removed from the road up to 62 feet
Official sources of the National Highway say that the entire land up to a distance of 62 feet from the end of the highway belongs to the NH. The encroachment on it will be removed with administrative help. For this, the entire administrative machinery has been informed and this action will start soon. Officials say that when the compensation was given, then the compensation was received according to the six lane only. Despite this, people encroached and built it, which is wrong. However, it has been asked to voluntarily remove the encroachment by March 2. After this, administrative action will be taken from March 3.
Many shopkeepers will become unemployed
On the one hand, the NH is looking strict to remove the encroachment, while on the other hand the shopkeepers of the construction and shops around the highway say that if the construction is removed then we will become unemployed.
