Where earlier people’s inclination towards Sanskrit had decreased, with the initiative of Yogi government, the dominance of Sanskrit has started increasing again. Not only the state, but the youth of other states are also taking advantage of this initiative of Chief Minister Yogi. The youth are choosing it not only for the language but also for the job. The pride of Sanskrit has started showing in the civil service in the state. Taking advantage of the Civil Services Free Coaching and Guidance Scheme conducted by Yogi Government in Sanskrit literature, a total of 61 candidates were successful in various stages of Civil Services Examination of other states including Uttar Pradesh, while 6 candidates were finally selected.
The scheme was started in December-2019
Sheelwant Singh, the coordinator of the Civil Services Free Sanskrit Coaching and Guidance Scheme of UP Sanskrit Sansthan, run by the Yogi Government, said that in December-2019, the Civil Services Free Coaching and Guidance Program conducted in Sanskrit literature was started by the Yogi Government. So that the stature of Sanskrit in the civil service would increase. His campaign is also paying off. During just three sessions, 61 candidates were successful in progress in Sanskrit subject, in which 8 in the preliminary examination of civil services of other states including Uttar Pradesh in the first session, 4 candidates in the main examination and 2 candidates finally raised their flag in the interview. Is. In the second session, 16 candidates have secured success in the preliminary examination of Civil Services Examination-21, 7 in the main examination and 4 in the interview. Along with this, in the third session, 19 candidates were successful in the preliminary examination of Civil Services Examination-22, 7 candidates were successful in the main examination, while the result of the interview is yet to come.
Sanskrit was liked by the students of other states too
The coordinator of the scheme, Sheelwant Singh said that not only the students of the state but also the students of other states of the country are taking advantage of the free civil service coaching. This number is increasing from session to session. At present, 20 percent of the total number of students are from other states. This includes 2 children from Jammu and Kashmir, 6 from Delhi, 5 from Gujarat, 2 from West Bengal and 3 from Haryana. Apart from this, students from Kerala, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab are also availing free coaching.
Apply for free Sanskrit coaching by August 15
Coordinator Sheelwant Singh informed that the applications for the fourth session of free coaching of civil services in Sanskrit literature have started from July 1, which will run till August 15. At the same time, it is being considered to extend the date of application by one more week. It is to be known that the entire session is of 10 months, in which the training is completed in three phases. In this, grammar, philology, philosophy, epics, Sanskrit theatrics, Sanskrit prose and poetry, etc., are taught by the experts. Candidates of all categories of 21 to 35 years who have passed graduation or equivalent examination from a UGC recognized university can be eligible for this scheme.
Beneficiary’s version
This scheme is a boon for the underprivileged because they are unable to give the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission examination due to their poor financial condition. In such a situation, students from disadvantaged sections can take advantage of this scheme to get free courses, digital library, test series of preliminary and main examination and interview guidance. By joining Sanskrit language, I feel as if I have directly connected with my mother tongue.
