Holi Special Trains: People from different corners of the country are returning to their homes to celebrate Holi. A huge crowd is being seen at the railway stations. On the occasion of Holi, Railways has made huge preparations to provide confirmed tickets to the railway passengers of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and other states. Let us tell you that Railways is running 540 Holi special trains. According to a statement from the Railway Ministry, special trains are being run from various railway zones to easily transport railway passengers home on the occasion of Holi. This includes routes like Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur. . Major routes include Durg-Patna, Barauni-Surat etc. Railway passengers can easily book confirmed tickets to their destination in these special trains through IRCTC.

Central Railway is running 88 special trains, East Central Railway 79 and Northern Railway 93 special trains. Apart from this, special trains are also being operated from Eastern Railway, North Eastern Railway, Western Railway and Southern Railway.
Special arrangements at major stations
To ensure smooth functioning of major railway stations, crowd-control measures have been implemented at terminus stations. Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel are monitoring the queues for orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches. Additionally, additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations to enhance passenger safety, with officers deployed on emergency duty to immediately address any operational disruptions.
Efforts are also underway to provide timely announcements of train arrivals and departures along with platform numbers to provide seamless travel experience to passengers. These measures are aimed at ensuring that rail travel remains safe, efficient and convenient for all during the festive period.
