Islamabad. Describing several achievements of his PTI-led government since coming to power in 2018, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday claimed that no regime in Pakistan has performed as well in the last 50 years as theirs. The government did it during its three-and-a-half year rule. Express Tribune gave this information. Addressing an impressive public meeting in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Mansehra district, the premier said, “Look at our economy, our tax collection, we have collected the highest tax in this period, we have the highest crop yield in the history of the country.” Yes, we have also taken care of the farmers and given them the right price. [किसी भी पिछली सरकारों द्वारा] Payment was not made.”
In a scathing attack on his political opponents, the Prime Minister alleged that Rs 200-25 crore was being offered to buy the conscience of the people.
“Our MNA Saleh Mohammad was offered Rs 25 crore by the opposition, but he refused,” he claimed.
The Prime Minister said the opposition is demanding NRO (amnesty) like former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
The day I forgive them (opposition leaders), it will be the biggest treason against Pakistan, the report said.
He said the no-confidence motion was moved so that the opposition leaders could easily escape.
Khan said, “Three rats are trying to hunt me, but they don’t know that they will be hunted instead… I will defeat them.”
