National Council of Teacher Education (NCET) has invited online applications for the Four Year Integrated Teacher Education Program for the academic session 2023-24. ITEP is a dual undergraduate degree offering BA BEd, BSc BEd and BCom BEd courses. An official statement said that this is one of the major orders of the National Education Policy 2020 related to teacher education.
It will initially be introduced in a pilot mode in multidisciplinary central, state government universities and institutions across the country. Admission will be given through the National Entrance Test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Interested candidates can apply till 31st May. The National Council for Teacher Education, under the Ministry of Education, has designed this curriculum as per NEP 2020 in such a way that it enables the student-teacher with a degree in education as well as subjects such as history, mathematics, science, arts, economics or commerce. makes.
One year ITEP will be available to all those students who want to pursue teaching as a profession after secondary. This integrated course will benefit the students as they will save one year by completing it in four years instead of five years required for the current B.Ed scheme.
Indian students should not study medicine in Pakistan: NMC
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has advised Indian students not to take admission in medical colleges in Pakistan. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had urged Indian students not to enroll themselves in any college or educational institution in Pakistan through a joint consultation a few days back, following which the NMC Public notice has been issued.
In consultation with the UGC and AICTE, it was said that if the students failed to do so, they would not be eligible to find a job or pursue higher education in this country. The notice issued said that ‘all concerned are advised not to travel to Pakistan for medical education’.
Registration till June 14 for ‘Shatabdi Opportunity’ in DU
