In fact, Lalu Yadav had given a statement on 27 September 2015 during the election public meeting in Teresiya of Raghopur assembly regarding the decisive battle between the forward and backward. The Election Commission showed strictness regarding this and considered it a violation of the Model Code of Conduct against Lalu Yadav.
A complaint was lodged against Lalu Yadav on the orders of the Election Commission. In which, on the written application of Raghopur Circle Officer of Vaishali district, a case was registered against Lalu Yadav at Gangabridge police station under section 188 of IPC for creating a feeling of enmity, hatred or enmity between two communities.

Let us inform that in this case, the special court of CBI had sentenced Lalu Yadav to 5 years imprisonment.
Against this, a petition was filed in the Jharkhand High Court for bail citing Lalu’s illness. However, the CBI opposed the bail saying that Lalu’s sentence was not completed yet. But the court, ignoring his arguments, granted him bail with a fine of Rs 10 lakh.
It is worth mentioning that the case of illegal withdrawal from Doranda treasury was the fifth and last in the fodder scam. In this, the former CM of Bihar and other convicts were sentenced by the special court of CBI in February. In this case, out of 99 convicts, 24 were acquitted while 40 were sentenced to 3 years.
