After the election results of five states, there is a sense of dissatisfaction among the leaders of G-23 in the Congress. Senior party leader Kapil Sibal has already spoken of making Congress of all instead of Congress of the house. In such a situation, former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Veerappa Moily has asked the leaders of G-23 not to panic, after the Modi era, the BJP will also disintegrate.
Urging the G-23 leaders to remain united, Moily said Congress leaders or workers should not panic if they are out of power. He said that BJP and other parties will keep coming and going. It is the Congress that will be here. He also said that we should be committed for the upliftment of Dalits and should not lose our hope.
On the party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi, Moily said that Sonia Gandhi wants reforms within the Congress party, but people around her have weakened it. He said that G-23 leaders are continuously targeting the party high command. Due to which the Congress party is weakening.
Let us tell you that after the election results of five states, Congress leader Kapil Sibal had instructed the Gandhi family to separate from the central leadership. Sibal had talked about making ‘Ghar Ki Congress’ ‘Sabki Congress’. On this many party leaders had also opposed Sibal. Congress Lok Sabha MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, while targeting the members of G-23, had said that they (G-23) are not in the habit of being out of power. So they are trying to protect themselves by doing such criticism. I don’t know what his (Congress leader Kapil Sibal) support base is.”
At the same time, Mirza Javed, the district president of Chandni Chowk unit of Delhi Congress, even demanded Sibal’s expulsion from the party. Javed demanded that Kapil Sibal should be expelled from the party for his anti-party activities. In this regard, a proposal has been presented on his behalf that whatever action the party will take against Kapil Sibal, he is with him.
