International travelers coming to India soon from abroad can get relief by registering information on Air Suvidha Portal. At present, any foreign traveler has to give details of vaccination and other information along with his travel information on the Air Suvidha Portal before coming to India. Government officials told ‘The Sunday Express’ that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is currently closely monitoring the cases of Corona and it may take at least two months to take this decision.
A senior civil aviation ministry official said, “We have written to the health ministry to remove the Air Suvidha portal as it will help in increasing international traffic. In response to the letter, the Health Ministry has said that they will review the program by August and take a decision on it.
The Air Suvidha Portal was launched in August 2020 as a mandatory self-reporting portal where an international passenger arriving in India from abroad has to provide information related to their travel and their immunization or COVID-19 test status.
You have to register on the Air Suvidha Portal before you travel, so that the administration can know whether you are coming from a high risk area or not. Last year when the new Corona variant Omicron had spread rapidly, the Union Health Ministry made it mandatory for all passengers to register travel details and negative RT-PCR reports for the last 14 days on the Air Suvidha portal before they travel.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday, 13,216 cases of corona were recorded in the country and 23 people lost their lives due to corona. This is the first time in the last 113 days that the cases of corona in the country have crossed 13 thousand. According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate of corona in the country is 2.73 percent while the weekly positivity rate is 2.47 percent.
