After the changed weather in Delhi-NCR, the air quality level has reached very poor condition. Its effect was clearly visible with the beginning of the day on Tuesday. In the morning, a dust and smoke-like sheet was seen on the roads. According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences (SAFAR), the air quality level in Delhi was recorded at 307 on Tuesday, which falls in the ‘very poor’ category.
SAFAR has warned that Wednesday’s air quality level could worsen. This level can be recorded up to 317. According to SAFAR, this level between zero and 100 in Delhi is considered good and satisfactory, between 100 and 200 is considered moderate and between 200 and 300 is considered poor.
After this the very poor category starts which lasts till 400. As soon as this level crosses 400 it is declared as severe category. Till now there were many restrictions in and around Delhi, which was the main reason for the low pollution level. Now almost all activities have opened.
SAFAR has advised the general public to use masks to avoid this pollution. On Tuesday, the air quality level was level 303 in Pusa, 293 at Lodhi Road, 313 in Delhi University, 316 in Airport, 239 in Noida, 327 at Mathura Road, 242 in Aya Nagar, 305 in IIT Delhi, 274 in Gurugram, and Dhirpur 308 was recorded.
Clouds will remain, but mercury will rise
According to the Meteorological Department, the movement of clouds will continue in Delhi in the coming days. Meanwhile, the temperature of Delhi will increase gradually and around March 14 the temperature will reach 34 degree Celsius. Delhi’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was 30.8 degrees Celsius, which was two notches above normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 13.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal. The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds in Delhi on March 10 and 11. After this, the period of increase in temperature will start in Delhi.
