Malegaon blast accused Sudhakar Chaturvedi has made controversial remarks about the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Sudhakar Chaturvedi said, “This country belongs to social workers, great revolutionaries and great men, this country does not belong to any Gandhi.”
Sudhakar Chaturvedi demanded installation of a statue of Nathuram Godse, who killed Mahatma Gandhi, saying, “Nathuram Godse is our ideal, our revolutionary, our great man. Veer Savarkar is our great man. If his idol is not installed in the country, whose idol will it be? Malegaon blast accused Chaturvedi said, “Wherever there is an office of the Hindu Mahasabha all over the country, we are of the opinion that there should be an idol of Pandit Nathuram Godse.”
Chaturvedi while talking to media persons said, “The intersections adjacent to the office should also have idols of Nathuram Godse. I want to warn those who make nefarious remarks in the name of Savarkar and Godse, which are the dramas of secularists in the country, to stop making derogatory remarks on these revolutionaries.
Sudhakar Chaturvedi made a controversial statement about Mahatma Gandhi and said, “This country does not belong to any Mahatma Gandhi. This country has no relation with Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, he is the father of the nation of Pakistan and he has no relation with India. Since 1947, this is the Congress’s pseudo-politics, unnecessary photographs of them on money, their statues at thousands of intersections of the country and many roads in their names. Sudhakar Chaturvedi also said that wherever Mahatma Gandhi’s statues have been installed in the country, they should be removed and Nathuram Godse’s idols should be installed in their place.
