MNS chief Raj Thackeray seems to be turning away from his own ultimatum. Brake was put on the ‘Maha Aarti’ program announced on May 3, he has said that the workers should not do any such program at the moment. This can lead to social tension on Eid. This time Eid is being celebrated on 3rd May due to non sighting of moon.
Raj Thackeray had said in his speech at the Aurangabad rally that he was firm on the deadline given till May 3 to remove loudspeakers from mosques. At a rally in Aurangabad, Marathwada, Raj Thackeray had said that all Hindus should play Hanuman Chalisa outside these mosques if loudspeakers are not removed. However, BMC has already said that action will be taken at all places in the loud speaker case.
In his speech, Thackeray targeted Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar. The MNS chief had accused the NCP chief of doing caste politics in Maharashtra. He said that he is allergic to the word Hindu. Presently NCP shares power with Shiv Sena and Congress. Thackeray believes that it was only because of Pawar that Uddhav Thackeray could get the CM’s chair.
On the other hand, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil said on Monday that Raj Thackeray’s speech at the Aurangabad rally was aimed at creating divisions in the society. The minister also indicated action against him. The police will listen to his speech and decide what is objectionable in it and decide on it. He says that the government does not want to create any kind of controversy. Strict action will be taken against those who do this.
