After the controversial remarks made by former BJP leader Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad, there is an outrage in the country and around the world. On Friday, after Friday prayers, there was a protest against Nupur Sharma’s statement. During this, crowds took to the streets in Delhi, Saharanpur, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Howrah, Telangana and Moradabad and created a ruckus. Meanwhile, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board has written to Maulanas across the country asking them to boycott TV debates.
All India Muslim Personal Law Board has asked through this letter that Muslim intellectuals should not participate in TV debates. The Muslim Personal Law Board has said in its letter that Ulema, Maulana should not participate in the debates and debates of those TV channels whose purpose is only to make fun of Islam and Muslims. It said that the purpose of these programs is not to reach any conclusion through constructive discussion but to ridicule and mock Islam and Muslims.
Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, General Secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, has said in the press note that the Board President Maulana Syed Muhammad Rabea Hasni Nadvi, Vice President Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri, Maulana Syed Shah Fakhruddin Ashraf, Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, Dr. Syed Ali Muhammad In a joint statement, Naqvi has appealed to the Ulemas and intellectuals not to participate in the debates of those TV channels whose purpose is only to make fun of Islam and Muslims.
It further states that these channels also want to involve Muslim faces in debates to prove their neutrality and our Ulema-intellectuals fall prey to this conspiracy out of ignorance. It has been said on behalf of the Muslim Personal Law Board that boycotting these programs and channels will reduce their TRP and at the same time they will also fail miserably in their objective.
