The Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating the violence that took place in Rampurhat village of Birbhum district in West Bengal. Let us inform that the CBI has registered an FIR in the name of 21 people in this case. The agency claims that the houses were set on fire with the intention of killing people. It is noteworthy that on March 21, after the murder of TMC leader Bhadu Sheikh, ten houses were torched by miscreants in Birbhum. Eight people, including women and children, were killed.
The CBI, in its FIR, said that preliminary investigations suggest that such violence was committed to avenge the murder of Bhadu Sheikh, TMC up-pradhan of the local panchayat. The Calcutta High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry in this matter. However, earlier the SIT of the state police was investigating.
In this case, the CBI has registered an FIR against 21 accused under sections 147, 148, 149 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code. Allegations of armed rioting have been made against these people.
After the order of the court, the CBI has now taken over the matter from the state police. Explain that the court has directed the CBI to submit the progress report on April 7, the next date of hearing.
According to ANI News, after this incident, the security of Bagtui village of Rampurhat area has been increased further. Visitors are being monitored. At the same time, IG Bharat Lal Meena also reached the village. Apart from this, CBI has already sent a team of CFSL with eight experts for investigation.
