Mathura. The joint public meeting of the alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal was organized on the ground near Averni intersection of Baldev. National President of Rashtriya Lok Dal Jayant Chaudhary said in the meeting that it is your good fortune that Mathura has got three MPs. Tejveer Singh has just been elected Rajya Sabha MP. I am a Rajya Sabha MP and now Hema Malini will become MP for the third time. I consider myself from Mathura only.
He told the workers, “There is no tension on joining NDA. You will be known across the country as Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh. Brij’s influence is far and wide across the country. Some people are not able to digest the news of Chaudhary Charan Singh, the son of the soil, getting the Bharat Ratna, whereas those people would have cried when Chaudhary Charan Singh got the Bharat Ratna. He said sarcastically, ‘Some people are saying that I have overturned, I am not overturning but I am throwing.’
Jayant said in his address, ‘Hema Malini was telling that she had come here during the 2009 election campaign. If a film is to be made then its name will be ’15 Saal Baad’. How did I know that we would contest the elections face to face? Now this will not happen. I have a special appeal to the people of Lok Dal that if there is any discord in the heart, then resolve it.
Jayant told under what pressure he joined NDA
Jayant openly told in the rally why he joined NDA. He said, ‘Today I am very happy at heart. Old faces are visible here, who made me contest the elections. I have decided to join NDA because of you all. There was pressure from you (workers) on me. Many people used to come to meet me and say that Jayant, although we are yours, we will cooperate but will vote for BJP. I used to think then what is the use? This pressure was on me, that is why I have joined NDA.
Raid in Pappu Yadav’s office, got into trouble with officials, asked – show the order, argument did not work
He appealed to the workers to make joint candidate Hema Malini victorious with huge votes and send her to Parliament. Bijnor MP Malook Nagar, who left BSP and joined RLD, also shared the stage with Jayant Chaudhary. BJP candidate Hema Malini said, ‘I am very happy to get the opportunity to serve the people of Mathura for the third time. I will complete the work which could not be done during my two terms.
