New Delhi: Supreme Court Hearing was held on Tuesday on the petition of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging the arrest made by ED in the money laundering case from Delhi Excise Policy. During this, ASG Raju, appearing on behalf of ED i.e. Enforcement Directorate in the Supreme Court, said that we can show that Kejriwal demanded Rs 100 crore.
A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Dutta was given a note by Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing for the ED, in which he opposed Arvind Kejriwal’s contention that the investigating agency suppressed the statements of government witnesses. Is. On behalf of ED, Raju said that in the initial phase the focus was not on Arvind Kejriwal. The investigating agency was not paying attention to him. As the investigation progressed, the role became clear.

The Supreme Court asked the ED to present the case files before and after the arrest of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi Excise Policy scam. The Supreme Court also asked the ED for the case files before the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal was arrested in this case on March 21 and he is lodged in Tihar Jail in judicial custody.
The apex court had issued a notice to ED on April 15 and sought its response on Kejriwal’s petition against his arrest. On April 9, the Delhi High Court had upheld Kejriwal’s arrest, saying there was nothing illegal in it and the ED was left with very few options after Kejriwal repeatedly ignored the summons.
