Got bail in the past
Accused Ashish Mishra was granted bail by the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court in the past. It was only after the bail was granted that the families of the deceased farmers opposed the decision and asked to challenge the order. On October 3 last year, a car in a convoy of BJP leaders rammed into the farmers protesting against three agricultural laws in Lakhimpur. The name of Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, had cropped up in this case. After this the police arrested him and sent him to jail.
SIT filed 5000 pages chargesheet
Within three months, the SIT had filed a 5000-page chargesheet in the CJM court on January 3 in connection with the October 3 violence in Tikunia village of Lakhimpur Kheri. In this, making Ashish Mishra the main accused, 13 accused were accused. Action was taken against all of them under the Arms Act including the sections of murder, attempt to murder, mutilation under a well-planned conspiracy.
On February 10, the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court, while hearing the bail application, had conditionally granted the bail application of Ashish Mishra Monu. But the bail order did not mention section 302 and 120B. Therefore, on February 11, the lawyer of Ashish Mishra had applied in the court of improvement in the bail order, after which on February 14, the High Court, while hearing the case, ordered to add sections of murder and conspiracy to the bail order. After the order of the High Court, the order of bail to Ashish Mishra was presented in the District Judge Court on 14 February. After this the jail administration released Ashish Mishra Monu.
