Expansion
The pilot-in-command of the aircraft, Captain Anchit, said that all Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs), including Pakistan, assisted in the special evacuation mission. From Romania to Delhi, to Pakistan via Tehran, there was full support from all ATC networks, so that we reached India in the stipulated time frame.
Pakistan gave way without asking
Anchit Bhardwaj said that, the most interesting thing in this mission is that Pakistan gave us a direct air route without asking for any reason. This also saved time. More than two dozen crew members were on board this Air India plane. Five pilots, 14 cabin crew, three aircraft engineers and two security personnel were deployed for the special flight to Romania.
All governments supported
Captain Anchit explains that, usually we do not fly over Romania. For Europe only the route to Romania is used. We got a lot of support from ATC and all the governments. Glad that through a coordinated effort, we have accomplished this mission within the stipulated time.
