Raipur (Naiduniya Representative). National Old Pension Restoration United Front Chhattisgarh State Convenor Sanjay Sharma has said that like the Rajasthan government, old pension should be implemented again in Chhattisgarh. The old pension promised by the Congress government in the public manifesto can also be fulfilled.
Giving old pension under the state government
He has said that the subject of giving old pension to the state employees is under the state government. Now the Chhattisgarh government should take immediate decision on this. The government can increase the development work by taking 90 billion in interest of the 10 percent share of the employees separately, a large number of NPS employees are not retiring. So the burden of paying more amount will not come. By removing NPS and implementing OPS, the government can get a total amount of 180 billion for development.
State government savings of about 20 billion per year
National Old Pension Restoration United Front Chhattisgarh State Convenor Sanjay Sharma, Virendra Dubey, Lailoon Bhardwaj, Rohit Tiwari, Tulsi Sahu, Nirmal Sahu, Dr. Ravi Banjare, SP Devangan, BB Jaiswal, Mahendra Singh Rajput, Shailendra Soni, Santosh Kumar Verma, National IT Cell in-charge Basant Chaturvedi has said that from April 2022, a decision has been taken for 4 percent state share. Due to the implementation of old pension, the state government will save about 20 billion per year if the state government does not deposit 14 percent of the state share.
Difficult to survive in old age with NPS
It has been said in the public manifesto of Chhattisgarh Congress that after considering CPF, action will be taken to implement the pension scheme which was there before 2004, but till now no meaningful initiative has been taken by the Chhattisgarh government for restoration of old pension. New Contributory Pension Scheme has been implemented by Chhattisgarh Government from 1st November 2004. New Contributory Pension Scheme is a market based scheme, the employees retiring from this scheme are being paid meager pension, due to which their survival in old age is becoming very painful.
