what is the process
To apply DL, first of all visit the Transport Services website. After that on the left side you will get the option ‘Apply Online’. After this option you will get the section of ‘Driving License Related Services’. After clicking on this option, the website will redirect you to another page. In which you have to enter some credentials. After knowing again on a new page you have to click on apply online and select the option of ‘Services on Driving Licence’.
After which the next page will outline all the information required to fill your DL renewal application. Read it thoroughly before proceeding with this process. In this step, you have to provide your current license number, date of birth, pin code and other such credentials. You will now be exposed to a set of different license services, and from these options click on ‘Upgrade’. After selecting the renewal option, the website will ask you to fill other vehicle related information.
Upload a clear photograph and signature on the next page. You must be aware that this feature is available in only a few states. On the other hand, if there are changes in your medical certificate, you can book a slot for a new driving test. After completing all the above steps, the website will display a new page.
In which you can cross-check the credentials and view the Application ID. You will then receive an SMS on the registered mobile number stating all the details. You will have to pay Rs 200 to complete the renewal process. You can also pay this amount through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
