While Sri Lanka is facing the biggest economic crisis in history, the situation in Pakistan is also seen to be similar. The economic condition of Pakistan can be gauged from the fact that there is a 12-hour power cut, so fuel prices have reached the sky. This is having a direct impact on the general public of the country, in fact, the prices of petrol and diesel, which have already reached the sky, have caught fire again. Here the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 59.61, while in petrol by Rs 24.03.
Petrol price beyond Rs 233
After this latest hike, the price of one liter of petrol in Pakistan has reached a new record high of Rs 233.89. Whereas, the price of diesel has increased by Rs 59.16 to Rs 263.31 per liter. Let us inform here that along with petrol and diesel, the prices of kerosene and electricity have also been increased wildly in Pakistan. According to a report released in this regard, in May 2022, the government has suffered a loss of more than 120 billion rupees on petroleum products.
Told Imran government responsible
Pakistan’s Minister of State for Petroleum Musadt Malik has blamed the policies of the Imran Khan government for the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. Malik said that the Imran government had completely destroyed the economy of Pakistan. They had deliberately reduced the prices of petrol by giving subsidies, due to which our government and the public are suffering. He has fiercely targeted the previous government for increasing fuel prices.
