New Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) formed the government after waving victory in the Punjab Assembly elections. For the first time, the change of power was also seen in the state. The Aam Aadmi Party formed the government, defeating the oldest party of the country. But since assuming power in Punjab, the Bhagwant Mann government has been embroiled in controversies. As if after gaining the power of the state, the Bhagwant Mann Sarkar was with the controversies. Sometimes the Bhagwant government remains in the headlines for every issue regarding the law and order situation of the state or the problem of unemployment. This time the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab seems to be in trouble regarding the condition of free electricity. In fact, before coming to power, Kejriwal lured the people of the state with free electricity. But with the AAP government sitting in power, it seems to be discriminating about free electricity.
Mann Sarkar clarified that the general category will have to pay the cost of the entire bill if one unit is spent more than the free one. Now the CM has come under the target of opposition against Bhagwant Mann regarding this decision. In this sequence, BJP state general secretary Subhash Sharma shared a screenshot of a newspaper targeting CM Bhagwant Mann. He tweeted and wrote, I want to ask Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann ji that when you gave the guarantee of free electricity, what did you say that you will give the benefit of this scheme on the basis of caste? Are there no poor families in the general category? This plan of yours is injustice to the common people and it is also a deception.
I am the Chief Minister of Punjab @BhagwantMann I want to ask ji that when you gave the guarantee of free electricity, what did you say that you will give the benefit of this scheme on the basis of caste? At the same time, people are giving their feedback on social media regarding the free electricity of the AAP government and are also debating fiercely about the issue of free electricity. Some users are calling it an injustice with the general category.
Along with this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the government has announced to provide 300 units of free electricity per month to all domestic consumers. Keep in mind that electricity bill comes after two months in Punjab. 600 units of free electricity will be available on one billing cycle. At the same time, there is a screw in this that if SC, BC, Freedom Fighter and BPL families spend more than 600 units of electricity in 2 months, then they will have to pay only those additional electricity bills. On the other hand, the opposition parties say about the general category people that if more than 600 units i.e. if 1 unit of extra electricity is spent, then only 601 units will have to be billed.
