Shocking revelations have come to light in the SIT investigation of Kanpur Collectorate Record Room. Investigation has revealed that about 9000 files of arms license are missing from the record room. According to sources, this surprising fact has come to light in the SIT investigation going on for almost 1 year. The SIT will submit its report to the administration in the first week or middle of May.
In fact, in March 2021, former District Magistrate Kanpur Metropolitan Alok Tiwari had given permission for SIT investigation after complaints of continuous disturbances in the Collectorate’s Arms Department. The SIT committee under the leadership of SP Dev Ranjan Verma had started its investigation after it came to light that there was a discrepancy in the files of 40 thousand gun license holders. Earlier, in the investigation of the administration, there was talk of missing about 4000 files, but now after the investigation of the SIT, this number has reached close to 9000. The SIT team has come to this conclusion after questioning the clerks of the Arms Section. In the record room of the collectorate, 173 firearm license files, including the notorious Vikas Dubey of the Bikru scandal, from Kanpur countryside, are also missing.
what is the matter- Last year, the Arms Department had issued 93 fake arms licenses. After the matter came to light, there was a stir in the district administration and taking strict action, three clerks of the Arms Department were dismissed. In the investigation of the SIT, the collusion of about a dozen officers and employees has been found in this fraud. Strict action can be taken against them after submitting the report to the government.
Fearless thief in Kanpur- In the month of April itself, many incidents of cash and jewelry theft from the branches of many big banks of Kanpur have come to the fore. Around 1 from the bank lockers at the Karachi Khana branch of the Central Bank of India, Kanpur. Jewelery worth 70 crores was missing. 2 from customers’ lockers in the bank within 23 days. The case of missing jewelery worth 15 crores remains in constant discussions. Jewelery worth 40 lakhs was missing from the locker in the Phulbagh branch of another bank in Kanpur, Bank of India. In another similar incident, jewelery of another trader went missing from the locker of the Central Bank.
