There is good news for the devotees who wish to have darshan of Baba Barfani. Tickets can be booked from April 11 for the 43-day Amarnath Yatra. Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) gave this information on Wednesday. Let us inform that the Yatra is scheduled to start on 30 June 2022 with the Corona Protocol and will end on 11 August 2020, the day of Raksha Bandhan.
On June 21 last year, the Jammu and Kashmir government decided to cancel the Amarnath Yatra due to the Corona situation in the country. In the year 2020 also, this trip was canceled due to Corona. However, both the years the worship of Baba Barfani continued in the holy cave in the traditional manner. In the year 2019, due to the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, this yatra was terminated midway.
On March 27, the office of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha was informed about the commencement of the Yatra from June 30. Giving information, it was said, “Today chaired the board meeting of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. The 43-day holy pilgrimage will begin on June 30 with the corona protocol and will end on the day of Raksha Bandhan as per tradition. We had an in-depth discussion on various issues on the upcoming visit as well.”
Let us tell you that Shri Amarnath Cave is located in Anantnag district of Kashmir Valley. A cave built on the top of snow-laden mountains naturally forms Shivling every year. Every year lakhs of people reach Shri Amarnathji Shrine in South Kashmir after doing the arduous climb of the mountains. The Shrine is managed by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), which was constituted in 2000 by an Act of the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature with the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir as its ex-officio Chairman.
